This allows large wagers to be placed in a short period of time.<\/p>\n
Gambling includes a wide range of activities, including casinos, lotteries, poker, sports betting, and bookmaking. Online platforms are now being used for recreational and entertainment purposes as well as gambling. The increased availability of the internet has changed the gambling environment in the last fifteen years. However, research has yet to determine whether online gambling can lead to problem gambling.<\/p>\n
In this paper, we will review the latest research and highlight some of the most interesting findings. We will discuss whether a link exists between Internet gambling and gambling problems, as well as possible approaches to address them.<\/p>\n
Some researchers suggest that Internet gambling is a risk factor for gambling problems. These studies have found that the proportion of problem gamblers is higher among those who are involved in Internet gambling. Other researchers have found that not all highly involved gamblers are at risk of gambling problems.<\/p>\n
Although these findings have been discussed, there is little evidence to support the hypothesis that Internet gambling causes gambling problems.
