Win It Wednesday

Written by on July 29, 2009 in COMPETITION TIME - 31 Comments

What an original title …

So, hot on the heels of Amy at & 1 More means Four, Peggy at Pefectly Happy Mum and Zooarchaeologist at Being A Mummy I’m running a competition with Andrex Puppy Points.

Could they have read my recent post ‘Camping Tale – Poo and Ponder‘ and thought I was the woman for the job? I could teach you all a thing or two about toilet paper origami!

Anyway on with business …

The prize is 2 nights for 2 adults and 2 children (aged 11 or under) at the 4* Best Western in Stoke on Trent including B&B and a 1 day family pass to Alton Towers for a family of 4. The total prize value is £300.

The rules;

… The competition is open to UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and ROI residents only

… To get one entry you must add a comment to this post stating that you wish to enter the competition

… To get a second entry you need to follow this blog (up there to the right … see all those happy faces?)

… and finally you can get a third entry by posting the link to this giveaway on your blog

On Wednesday 5 August 2009 the winner will be pulled out of a hat by the 5 year old or the 3 year old dependent on who is not throwing a tantrum/jumping on the trampoline/having a poo at the time.

So what are you waiting for? Get commenting …

Andrex PupAndrex has created a fantastic rewards promotion called ‘Puppy Points’. Designed to treat you as well as your family to some special everyday rewards without the financial worry, Puppy Points is running on special packs of Andrex that are available in stores across the UK and through a dedicated website www.andrexpuppypoints.co.uk.

I need a holiday or break so badly..so please let this be me. I have had to give up my job and we are struggling to support our two children with exciting affordable things to do. Alton Towers would be excellent!
Hope to hear from you soon (fingers crossed)
    excellent blog by the way

Please include me in the draw for this. My boys are 9 and 11 and are just getting into all the rides. We recently took them to the West Midlands Safari Park and as much as they loved seeing all the animals, they also had their first ride on a big rollercoaster and a log flume and absolutely loved it!

    Hi

Can I enter too, I have just found your site and it looks really interesting so I have signed up. I have also put your link into my site for my favourite ten blogs that I read.

I would love to win as we aren’t going on holiday this year (credit crunch and all that….) so we could really do with a nice little break.

Anyway, congratulations on the new look blog and I will definately be back.

I would feel like a child at christmas if I won this. What was meant to be the childrens 1st holiday away to Spain this weekend was cancelled due to their stubborn father my ex……this would mean the world to us if I could treat them to something special before they start school.

I followed a link from the lovely Linda :-D and would also like to enter please. I do have a blog but it has been so long since I wrote anything regularly I doubt anyone passes by there anymore :-(

I’d like to enter, please :) @Singleparentdad – I’m sure you’d have no trouble finding a child to go if you won!

  15. SingleParentDad July 30, 2009 at 2:23 am · Reply

I would have to steal an adult and a child to make up the numbers, but count us in!

      I’ll be your dog

I’m not sleeping in a double bed with you though

  16. Jo July 30, 2009 at 2:18 am · Reply

Oh, please enter me too. Not been to Alton Towers for 20 or so years, since the days of school trips and teenage snogs on the back of the coach.

Would be nice to go as a sensible grown-up.

Hiya, I’ve posted about it, I would like to enter too I think. Thank you!

Can I win from abroad if I have my own carrier pigeon?
    Cheers

I would like to enter please but fear I may scare the other people on the Willy Wonka ride with my Croydon facelift. Are you allowed on the rides naked and will the fellas in charge of the waltzers give me a love bite and a can of cider? Do they have waltzers at Alton Towers? Spose I could spend the day in Stoke going up Hanley.

I would like to enter please! Also I got an email today and it made me think of you. It was the Mums definition of a booty call – when your child calls you to the bathroom to wipe or check said childs bottom after a poop!

Wife – I am entering. I am hoping to win and spend the day at Alton Towers holding coats and crying as I am forced to go on the pirate ship or similar… :)

Sadly, events of 233 years ago render me inelligable for this contest.

  27. jane matthews July 29, 2009 at 3:24 am · Reply

Great idea! I hope it brings you loads more followers – and, rather selfishly, I hope I win. I’m only entering because the prize does NOT involve camping. Went off it when we camped on a hillside and ended up in a sweaty pile of bodies wrapped around the tentpole.
Then there was the time I packed strawberries in a tupperware-type thingy (don’t ask!) and the lid came off so we spent a week living in sticky, sickly clothes.
And the time we cowered together terrified that we were about to be attacked. Of course the source of the sinister snuffling and scraping turned out to have four legs.

Any one of those a good reason not to join the Brownies or EVER go camping again.

Oh i could do with a good freebie as it’s only week 2 of the hols and i’m already searching down the sofa for loose change – the kids are costing me a fortune! Please can i have two entries as i already follow you :) x
