This post is for Tara Lara’s Gallery – the theme this week is Mother Nature.
I saw this plant when we went to the Lovelies for dinner one night. Mrs Lovely is a keen horticulturalist. She has things growing all over the place. This plant was in the kitchen, hiding from the cold and waiting for the Spring when it could once again bathe itself in sunshine … and rain.
I thought it was beautiful, and she was going to give me a cutting, but then we all drank a bit too much and forgot all about it. I can’t even tell you what it was called, that’s how much of a gardener I am … and actually probably why Mrs Lovely didn’t give me a cutting.
Sadly, my interest in horticulture starts and ends with the mint in my mojito.
Now go and check out all the other entries in Tara Lara’s Gallery.

I had 1 of those but it died
I think it’s a an aloe vera – definitely a succulent, desert plant of some kind. A Bromiad maybe?
I’ve just realised I don’t know what a mojito is. I’m starting to think I may have my priorities wrong…
The plant looks lovely but, not as lovely as the mojito!
It tasted lovely too!
LOL! I quite fancy the mint in my mojito too… Great idea.
It’s really refreshing!
Mmmmm mojitos. Making me want one right now….is that wrong at 4.50pm?
The sun is over the yard arm somewhere. No?
LOL. She’s certainly very accommodating, Mother Nature
I know. She knows how to make us non horticulturists take an interest.
How could I not look at a photo entitled ‘The mint in my mojito’ ???
Brilliant take on the MN theme and have no idea what that beautiful flower is called but I’d go back for that cutting
I think I will. She had loads of them. one of them has my name on them.
And she is ever so generous with her bounty
!
She is! … in each mojito I had that night!
Mint in the mojito–Mother Nature is everywhere.
Great idea for the prompt!
She certainly is, the strawberries in a daquiri, the apples in cider … everywhere
