Ahh… how wonderful! I remember I used to take all sorts of things to bed with me – there’s a photo of me as a kid asleep in bed with a free sports bag given by my kids savings account bank!

I so miss Clarke’s at the moment. Took my 6 year old for new (expensive) shoes on Saturday and he came back from school yesterday saying “I have GOT to get these things off”. They are far too narrow. There doesn’t seem to be the UK measuring system here – measuring both the length and the width across the arch. He looks like he has skinny feet but his high arch means he should have a wider shoe. Heck, they don’t even make the shoes in different widths here. Pah!

This is adorable! I smiled at your description of needing to work your boy like a dog – Kai is more and more the same now he’s really sure on his feet. He can usually be found sat by the door holding his shoes looking hopeful at the moment, like a dog with his lead.

Sounds like you’ve got a little star in the making there. I bet his dad is chuffed to bits.

Love the photo – how sweet is that!
My son has never been sporty, always last to be picked for teams, no use at football or rugby. But now, at 14 and having shot up to 5’9, he has started playing my hubby’s sport, volleyball. And he’s GOOD AT IT!! Husband is so proud!

I knew he’d be good. He’s just like #2 – it wasn’t until we moved from home-based stuff onto football and he got obsessed with that, that our A&E visits finally tailed off.
