I once accused my son of faking an illness so that he wouldn’t have to go to school. He had a throat infection and a tummy bug. We’ve all been there.

My son Jacob – now 6 but at the time 4 – was suffering bad nose bleeds . This went on for a week before my wife eventually discovered a popcorn kernel stuck up his nose. Turned out my older son, then 7, had been pushing popcorn up his nose whilst he slept during a cinema trip with the baby sitter! Said kernel had to be removed with a bar cocktail stick…

Poor little mite, you are as sceptical as I am. I hate tripping over everything in the dark trying to find the calpol though. I always stubb my toe. Hope he gets better soon.

Well done you for actually placing the calpol somewhere you could fnd it, i never remember to do that and i end up waking up the whole house in the process. Bless him, i think we’re all guilty of not taking their constant moaning seriously though

Ahh we are very familiar with the three C’s in our house too, given the constant teething battlefield that is Kai’s mouth.

Poor little dude. I hope he feels better really soon (I’m SURE the dislike of sweets is only temporary – maybe he means the fizzy ones? They always hurt my tongue…) x
