October – I bloody love that I do …

Pantene Pro-V Smooth & Sleek – Glenda at PGUK is obsessed by my hair. She takes great pride in laughing at my Worzel Gummidge photos. She took pity on me and sent me some spa inspired Pantene Pro-V Smooth and Sleek products.  I love it. I’ve been using it for over a month now and my hair definitely feels different.  I’m a big fan of the 24 hour frizz fighter. Anything that means there are less pictures of me looking like Worzel on the interwebs is a good thing.

Vosene Kids - We were sent some Vosene Kids products; Shampoo, conditioner, afterswim bodywash, hair gel and detangler spray. Luckily, let me rush round touching every wooden surface, we haven’t had an outbreak of nits yet.  The 5 year old loves using the gel in the morning and the 7 year old likes using the Extra Shine Detangler, it makes her hair really soft.  I would use the products again especially if we had an outbreak of nits.  We’ll definitely continue using the detangler and the hair gel.

Ben Shaws – It was Ben Shaw’s 140th birthday this year.  140 years of making fabulous drinks is quite an achievement.  We were sent some drinks to try out.  My favourite was the cloudy lemonade which was lovely on a hot day and also went well with gin when I ran out of tonic.  The Husband reignited his love affair with shandy and is now addicted to the stuff and The Teenager was rather partial to the cream soda and will now only drink Ben Shaw’s Cream Soda.  I think that would equate to a hit all round!

Radox Survival Kit - A bag with a travel first aid kit, 3 little hand sanitisers, water bottle and a pack of Top Trumps.  We took this on holiday and all the items came in handy. We immediately broke open the Moshi Monster Top Trumps having never played before.  It turns out the 5 year old is far more number savvy than I thought.  The first aid kit is big enough to fit in my handbag along with the hand sanitisers which were a godsend recently during a day out to the zoo.

Guinness World Records 2012 – The book has been a success, a great talking point and the children keep trying to find the most amusing, bizarre and downright amazing records. The 7 year old loved the human body records but ended up having nightmares about the most tattooed man … mainly because he has some sort of metal teeth ensemble (Page 78).  I was fascinated by the woman with the longest beard … it’s 27.9cm long!  She looks so happy … just like I’ll be when I go for the woman with the longest handlebar moustache record cough.  Great fun.

LEGO Hero Factory – LEGO Hero Factory is now on TV.  Can you hear the whoops of joy from West Yorkshire? We love the Lego Hero figures. We have a set of the latest range Which are absolutely fantastic. The 5 year old has loved watching the series, with his figures and bringing the characters to life.  Lego Hero Factory is on Cartoon Network on Saturday at 8.30am and repeated at 6pm.

Playmobil Figures – A Playmobil figure in a bag!  Who knows what you might get?  The kids have loved finding out and then playing with them with our existing Playmobil collections. There are 24 figures across the two ranges and the best bit is that you can mix and match.  These are going to be a great stocking filler this Christmas. In fact I have a competition starting next week where you could win some of these little beauties!

I apologise profusely for my tardy reply to this. I was looking up images of Barbara Striesand on the internet and comparing your hair with hers. Thank you for the mention ;)

We love the tattooed man too. He looks amazing. Are you going to the event too? We’re hoping to. :D

You had me at Dandelion and Burdock, but I like that you get (good-natured) grief from P&G too :)

There’s usually not a day goes past that I don’t get (good-natured) grief from P&G!
