Week 12 of Tara’s Gallery and I’m proud to be the inspiration behind the theme! It’s Self Portrait and once again I cheated because I didn’t take these pictures, the 5 year old did.
Never one to laugh at myself … or be self deprecating I give you photos of me, taken by the 5 year old. On Saturday the 5 year old and I amused ourselves by taking silly pictures on the train home from London. She took photos and we laughed lots.
I look like a tit, but she thinks I’m marvellous. And that, folks, is all that matters.

Great and funny pictures you posted here. It’s such a very rewarding feeling to just bond with your daughter and have lots of giggles. It’s a great feeling.
ooh err check you our missis is your first class travel!
I love photos taken by children.
These really made me laugh – you look like you are having so much fun. My 5yo loves using a camera too, it always makes for such interesting photos!
Gorgeous! I think you’re first class too xx
Stupendous!
And that my lovely is why you are a finalist in the MAD’s for funniest blogger – beautiful eyes too by the way! Cx
The best photos are made when having fun. And seems like you are having fun there! Beautiful!
as I’m not your daughtern I wouldn’t dare to tell you you’re beautiful on those, but I think so !
I love the last one, it’s so full of fun. As you are!
HaHa I just noticed that bit too! At least you looked like a tit with a *first class* spoon on her nose!
Sorry, had to pull out the “British to American Dictionary” there for a second. Over here, a “tit” is something that is looked AT not looked LIKE.
But I love it when a parent isn’t afraid to cut up with their kids.
Just fabulous! Hang on. Were you in first class?? Blimey!
Hehe you remind me of myself, its rare for me NOT to pull a funny face for the camera! Great photos hun!
She’s a great photographer. Do you two ever bake together? Would love you to contribute to the Book Chook Cook Book I’m compiling.
Did you get any funny looks on the train!! Great pictures!
Arf. You eejit.
Excellent, particularly love the one of you with a teddy on your head. I’m often found with a stuffed toy on my head, pretending there’s nothing unusual, for the amusement of my daughter. Happily, she’s too small to take a photo of it yet!
they’re fun photos – I was going to post my larking about ones but didn’t so I obviously take myself too seriously ;-((
Wife, you’re a fool. And that is why we all love you. My favourite us the one with the ‘First Class’ thing on your head. Boo and the Boy are so lucky to have you for a mummy. Big love. xx
I was tempted to photoshop in the word ‘tit’ under First Class
Kids just love it when Mum can get down to their level and be daft and kids laughter is one of the best tonics in life (aside from G&T) of course! A great reminder to us all to let go once in a while, brilliant pics that made me grin :0)
I love your take on life L, I really really do.
Brilliant way to show this theme off x
Ace photos
I must go and try to balance a spoon on my nose now – not done that for ages
I hope mr bear wasn’t injured during the taking of those shots! xx
That’s a spoon in the last shot isn’t it?! I think I need to stop being so uptight about having my photograph taken- these are great fun, and that is what being a mum is all about. x
Hey, what’s that under the teddy bear…?
Great pics!
You are delightful! I’m curious to know what’s on your nose in the bottom right snap!
It’s a teaspoon!
Awww, lovely words to go with fun pictures. :0)
