My Sister’s is the One That Looks Like a Boob

Written by on March 17, 2010 in BLOG - 44 Comments

Every year at Easter we, as a family, go egg rolling.  It is a long held family tradition … since I was a child.  This year we are travelling up to Scotland to stay with some friends as it is their turn to host the Egg Rolling Championship.

My sister, my niece, my nephew, myself, The Husband, The Teenager, the 4 year old and the 5 year old will descend on their house to paint our eggs.

In over 20 years of rolling I have never won … not that I’m bitter.  This is my year.  I will win.

I say that every year.

So without further ado, here is my entry for Tara’s Gallery.

This weeks theme is colour and these are the 2009 entries for the West Yorkshire Egg Rolling Championship hosted by My Sister.  Mine is the Charlie & The Chocolate Factory inspired Golden Egg and My Sister’s is the one that looks like a boob.

Those are so fabulous. Really really lovely. I am mst concerned about the green boob actually. The pink one is fine though. And I love the shimmery pearly paints you’ve used. Can’t wait to see this year’s. (Actually that sounds a bit sad doesn’t it? I can wait, but I would like to see them. ;D)

We don’t really have any hills to roll our eggs over here in Florida. =( Good luck to you this year — I shall stay tuned to see if this is YOUR year!

I can feel it … this year is my year … Ahem.

No hills in Florida – maybe you could just throw instead?!

Loving the faces – how far do you get an egg to roll?

    • admin March 19, 2010 at 11:08 am · Reply

That depends on the incline of the hill …

I’m here, frantically looking for a boob! Amy used to paint eggs but she just hasn’t got the patience anymore. These are fabulous. Happy rolling.

I think this year I will do pubes to go with my one tit. And the Cup ( yes there is an official cup ) will stay in our family – won by She-ra last year who was so overwhelmed that she actually cried.

    BRING IT ON!

    • admin March 17, 2010 at 1:15 pm · Reply

I nearly put the pic of She-Ra crying but decided she wouldn’t forgive me. I was going to give her funky glasses to protect her identity, but still.

She still says she got soemthing in her eye.

The Husband has been on an intensive egg rolling course by the way. That cup will be back in our family before you know it.

sorry, sister, but the boob is disgusting! I like the sort of punkish box up the top with the black and snot green ones…but thenI would, wouldn’t I?
So what do you have to do then? Need the rules.

    • admin March 17, 2010 at 1:17 pm · Reply

The punkish ones were my families … of course. You have good taste.

I’m going to put the rules up next week, so you can join in!

Did she intentionally make a boob? (She could have at least made a pair!) Good luck with the rolling – my money is on the bumble bee egg!

    • admin March 17, 2010 at 10:43 am · Reply

Of course she did – she may comment later and deny it and tell you it’s something else but I know … it is a boob.

I can’t remember who’s the bumble bee was.

I’ll post pictures on the blog after Easter of this years entries.

Our family tradition is just to eat till we’re sick at Easter. I like yours better.

My favourites are the smiley face ones.

Ah, you will be referring to ‘the black sheep’ and ‘the bee’ then!
