The kids woke me up with cards, presents and cuddles this morning. Twas lovely. I also got to have an uninterrupted soak in the bath followed by some blogging time in the attic …. alone.
One of my favourite presents was a pillowcase … I kid you not. It looks like this and is made from Egyptian cotton (The Husband may have been lying about that bit). Take a look at the rest of the website, it’s tres funky and funny too.
Obviously I am thinking about my Mum today too. This year feels a bit different though. Instead of feeling sad and blue, today I feel happy when I think about her. Maybe it’s a turning point. I hope so. I was interviewed for an article in Company magazine (remember the smizing post?) for my other blog, you can read about it here. Thanks to all of you who have already been over and commented, it means a lot.
Happy Mother’s Day to all you lovely Mums!

This post made me do one of those happy, shuddery sighs that you do when you’re really proud of your kids. Happy for you, me ol’ mucker. Very happy xxx
Thank you you Mrs Happy x
i have just read your blog (the other one ) and you have become a real person to me. Not just the funny girl who has me crying with laughter about stained cloths in hotel rooms, but a sensitive real person. I applaud you for what you have written ,i lost my dad when i was 29 and was going through a very messy divorce, i still find it hard to speak about due to everything attached to it. Thank you for the blog i will keep on readiing and following you .X
Thanks Marcy. I made the decision last week that maybe my two personas should meet!
I enjoy that shop Twisted Twee, some crazy ideas but fun. I’m sorry to hear about your mum but glad you feel you’ve reached a turning point.
Wishing you a Happy Mother’s Day in every sense.
Thank you – I think I’ll be going back online to Twisted Twee and splashing some cash.
