I Definitely Respect Cake

Written by on April 13, 2010 in REVIEWS - 4 Comments

As some of you know by now, my respect for cake runs high. I am a cakeholic, so when Respect Organics asked me to review some of their finest cakes I was hardly going to say no.

There were two boxed cakes (chocolate and carrot) and two smaller cake loaves (ginger crush and banana).

It shames me to say that the 5 year old doesn’t like cake.  If she didn’t look so like me I would be considering who her mother was.  The good thing about the 5 year old’s lack of cake respect is that there was more for The Husband, the 4 year old and I to share.

The 4 year old loved the banana cake and a slice in his lunchbox went down a treat.  The Husband clearly liked the ginger crush cake because no sooner had it been opened it was gone.

We took the larger boxed chocolate and carrot cakes up to Scotland with us at Easter.  We had a group tasting.  The verdict was that the carrot cake was really moist and very light.  The chocolate cake was nice too, just not as moist or light as the carrot cake.

I’ll definitely be buying these cakes again.  All of them.

The loaves currently retail at £1.79 and the cakes £2.19.  Well worth it I’d say.
