That’s not strictly true, but I’d love to be.
On Saturday we went to Fruit Towers in London where the people from Innocent work. I say ‘work but it’s more like ‘hanging out and enjoying yourself whilst working’ from the looks of things. The place is astroturfed and is SO very chilled.
15 minutes into our 2 hours and 20 minute train journey the 5 year old started asking “Are we nearly there yet Mummy?” which was both irritating and yet strangely pleasing. We played noughts and crosses approximately 430 times and she went on the underground for the first time “What? A train? Under the ground? Really?”
She made a hat with Gayle, had her face and hand painted, drank some smoothies, made a bird feeder with Tansy, played table football with Flea, drew a picture with Ben (who had THE best glitter pens), played computer games, ate strawberries, jumped on beanbags, did a blindfolded sniff/taste/feel test, made her own smoothie and ate a lot of fruit tubes.
I ate cake, drank tea and chatted whilst daydreaming about working there and feeling the astro-turf under my feet.
The 5 year old is officially in love with ‘The Wedge’ a giant smoothie which she high fived, hugged and chased.
In the corner of the room was a table which was dedicated to ‘sharing healthy tips’. I avoided this table because although my children eat healthily most of the time I felt that I might get tourettes and confess that for breakfast the 5 year old had eaten a packet of Oreo’s chased down with a packet of Starburst (apart from the green ones, which I ate). What? They took their time with the breakfast buffet on the train!
Thanks to Innocent for inviting us down and for our goody bag, we had a great time. If you can think of a job for me at Fruit Towers I’m all yours … I’d even wear the wedge.
I am now a finalist in the MAD Awards for Funniest Mad Blog where you can vote for me to win … if you want to! (Voting ends on the 6th of June at Midnight)

Great pictures, looks like a fab day. The 5 y/o is gorgeous
Sounds like a lovely day. Although it’s probably a good thing I didn’t go. I can’t somehow imagine my 15 year old with a strawberry painted on his face… xx
That would of been a good picture!!
Sounds wonderful. What a great day out. Love the photographs too x
It was so lovely to meet you and the gorgeous 5yo. Hope the rest of your day panned out well.
I’ve already checked out the career opps at Innocent – the application’s in the post

We had a lovely afternoon. Natural History Museum then chilling on the cobbles at Covent Garden.
Lovely to meet you too!
Looks like such a great day : )
Sounds like great fun. So many of these fab places to visit are just too far for me to travel.
CJ xx
Looks like you had a great time, it was just too far for us Mads to travel
It was a couple of hours on the train for us, but because I only had the one with me it was a nice relaxed affair. If the 4 year old had been their to I wouldn’t have been quite so relaxed!
Yup, I recognise the five year old but I didn’t get a chance to catch up with you!
I didn’t see you … I’m sure there will be other opportunities!
It was lovely to meet you!
Wasn’t it a heap of fun
It was. I loved your little one’s glasses.
She looks so cute, so (pardon the pun) innocent.
Great day it seems.
Aww, that looks like a fun day.
Ah! Looks like a great day!
If you’re going to feed me Orea’s for breakfast, you can be my mum too. Although you’re younger than me so how that’d work, I don’t know….
We’ll work it out. Oreo’s it is then.
