Email from Gramps …
Laura
Did I read on your Sister’s blog (post entitled Slip of the Tongue) that the 5 year old had exclaimed “Oh, shit!” at your Sister’s house?
This reminds me of a caravaning holiday in, of all places Bangor, with Rosemary and Martin. Martin and I were stood in the doorway of somewhere which must have had toilet facilities. You as a six year old pushed past us saying in a loud voice. “I need a piss!”
I’m not quite sure where you picked that up from.
Love Pops

hahaha that’s brilliant
*waves to Gramps, in case he is reading*
I should’ve written this post. I confess. I have a potty mouth. I find it really hard not to swear, even though I have a two year old who is learning to talk and I am probably his biggest influence……
Anyway, he is sat in his playroom the other day. He drops something. He says ‘Oh, Fox sake’. I ignore it and pretend I haven’t heard. He does it again later, ‘Dogs sake, mummy’. This time it’s complete with hand gestures and a roll of the eyes. You gotta love him. Dogs and Foxes. It’s his interpretation of Mummys swears. Right out of the mouth of a babe. Xx
I love gramps. Apparently when I was little I was chosen to do a reading in church. Unfortunately I got up a little too early in my enthusiasm and was sent back to my seat by the vicar. As I trudged back up the aisle to my pew I was heard to mutter ‘well I cocked that right up didn’t I’…
LOL, classy
Amy dropped her pencils the other day and shouted “oh bugger” I was so relieved that was all she said!
Good one! I was expecting it would be a telling off…
I love these little memos from Pops! So true of all our lives! Great!
LMAO! I can’t say it hasn’t happened to me, the other day my 6 year old said “Dammit, Elizabeth!” to my dog. Proud moments….*sigh*
