This post is for Tara Lara’s Gallery – the theme this week was based on World Photography Day – we had to take a photograph, of anything, wherever we were in the world – but it had to be taken on Monday. I took a picture of one of my favourite people, my dog walking buddy, on his new scooter.
On Monday the 9 year old got a call from a friend inviting her to go and play. The 7 year old was feeling a bit left out as his friends are away on holiday so I asked him what he’d like to do. He chose to take the dog somewhere as long as he could ride his new scooter.
I do a lot of dog walking, I love being out with the woofers, it’s my best thinking time. The 9 year old doesn’t often want to come with me, but her brother loves it. We go all over. He doesn’t whinge or complain and if he’s not on his bike or scooter he’s usually running ahead of me or climbing something. It’s our time to chat, be silly and just enjoy each other’s company with no distractions.
On Monday I took him to a new place I’d found, it had a combination of woodland, streams and good paths for the scooter. He loved it.
I’m going to miss my dog walk buddy when he goes back to school.
