No matter how big he gets, how hairy, and how too-cool-to-kiss-his-mother, he will always need you. My eldest is now 12 and boy how things have changed! He no longer gets undressed in front of me, and doesn’t want me to take him anywhere in case we are seen together (God forbid), but he needs me more now than ever. He just doesn’t quite realise it yet.

Oh yes, I can relate to this! My son will be 6 in a couple of months and whilst I am proud that he is becoming more confident and independent, it does still tug at the heartstrings when the dependency seems to be less. It’s not long since my boy wouldn’t go into school without several hugs and kisses, now, on some days, he happily trots in with his friends without so much as a backward glance. And those goodnight cuddles are the best aren’t they? Helen (@Cinnamum22).

And this is why our pup was crated! She was a chewing machine.
She still sleeps at night in her crate, but only because her tummy would be waking us up at 5:30 am, asking to be fed…..

I’m going to show this picture to my children so they understand why I don’t want a puppy! Shame about the Roald Dahl book! We’ve read Danny Champion of the World and the BFG so far this year and are now on to Matilda.
