As a Royal Caribbean Ambassador I was invited to take my children and The Husband to Southampton to visit the Independence of the Seas for a taster session. We only had a few hours onboard before the ship left for a Mediterranean cruise. But we managed to pack in in a fair bit of paddling, swimming, flowriding, cupcake making, laughing, eating and a lot of sun.
The 7 year old had a WOW moment on the Flowrider, which he tried out several times and the 9 year old had her WOW moment in the H2o zone, where she would have happily stayed all week!
Being able to introduce, not only my own family but, other bloggers and their families to Royal Caribbean was amazing. Watching them as they explored and answering questions about my own cruise experience made for a fantastic weekend.
The ship was almost identical to Liberty of the Seas, the ship I travelled on back in May. It brought back some wonderful memories and made me want to stay on with my family … I felt really sad when we had to disembark.
I’ll be writing about our experiences and whether I’ve changed The Husband’s perception of cruises on the Royal Caribbean blog shortly.
Until then, here are some pics;
